The Story

The private walking tour covers the same core Salzburg Altstadt as the free public tour: Mirabell Gardens, Mozart’s Residence, Mozarts Birthplace, Getreidegasse, the university church, Stift St. Peter, Domplatz, Kapitelplatz, Residenzplatz, and Mozartplatz. The difference is format. A private tour means the pace, the emphasis, and the questions are yours. The guide shapes the commentary to the group rather than to the median of a mixed public crowd.

Groups of 8 or more, families with children who want a different tempo, visitors with specific interests in Mozart history, Sound of Music locations, or Salzburg’s WWII layer are all better served here than in a public tour. The baseline route takes approximately two hours; extensions and focus adjustments can be arranged in advance.
