The Unipark Nonntal is the University of Salzburg's cultural and social sciences building at the southern edge of the old town, opened in 2011 and winner of the 2012 Salzburg State Architecture Prize. The architects lifted the whole concrete-and-louvre block onto pillars so the public can walk underneath, and put a free rooftop terrace on top that looks straight at the fortress. Walk about ten minutes south from Mozartplatz into Nonntal.
