Introducing Salzburg

Snapshot

Introducing Salzburg is the flagship travel content platform built by Gerhard Reus, a Salzburg-area native and professional guide. It covers the city’s history, culture, food, music, and visitor experiences through structured editorial and a deep entity graph designed to become the most comprehensive independent English-language resource on Salzburg.

The Story

Gerhard Reus grew up in the Salzburg area and has spent years working in the city as a guide and content creator. Introducing Salzburg is the platform that consolidates that knowledge into a structured, searchable resource for international visitors. The approach differs from conventional travel content: rather than top-ten lists and surface-level overviews, the platform builds from the ground up, entity by entity, covering the people, places, organisations, and experiences that make Salzburg what it is.

The platform is the organisational home of Gerhard’s Salzburg work. It connects to Free Walking Tour Salzburg Org, which offers in-person guided tours of the Altstadt, and to Rikscha Tours Salzburg, which covers the city by cycle-rickshaw. All three ventures draw from the same knowledge base. The written content on Introducing Salzburg provides the context; the tours put visitors inside it.

Introducing Salzburg has a sibling brand in Roam Austria Org, which applies the same entity-graph methodology across all nine Austrian states. Decisions made for the Salzburg platform, in terms of taxonomy, content architecture, and editorial standards, flow directly into Roam Austria.
