The birthplace of poet Georg Trakl at Waagplatz in the Altstadt, now a research institute, archive, and memorial centre dedicated to his life and work. Trakl (1887-1914) is one of the most important German-language Expressionist poets.
The villa where Franz Lehar lived and died in 1948, preserved as a museum. Lehár spent his summers in Bad Ischl and composed many operettas here, including revisions to The Merry Widow.
The house in St. Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee where Anna Maria Pertl, Mozart's mother, was born in 1720. Nannerl Mozart lived here after her marriage to the local magistrate. One of the genuinely under-visited Mozart family sites.

The third floor of Getreidegasse 9 is where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on 27 January 1756, and where he spent the first seventeen years of his life.

The larger apartment on Makartplatz where the Mozart family moved in 1773. Leopold Mozart lived here until his death in 1787. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived here until his permanent departure for Vienna in 1781.
Built 1863
The actual home of Georg von Trapp and Maria von Trapp in the Aigen district of Salzburg, not to be confused with Schloss Leopoldskron, which served as the film exterior. The family lived here from 1922 until they left Austria after the Anschluss in 1938.
