The Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s Nest) is a mountain building at 1,834 m above Obersalzberg, near Berchtesgaden, built in 1938 as a gift to Adolf Hitler. Now a mountain restaurant and one of the most visited WWII-related sites in Europe, it sits roughly 30 minutes from Salzburg.
