The Paracelsus Bad is Salzburg's contemporary city swim and spa on Auerspergstraße, next to the Kurgarten by Mirabell. The glass-and-steel building, wrapped in ceramic louvers, opened in 2019 on the site of an older bath, and its top floor holds an open-air pool level with the rooftops of the old town. Named for Paracelsus, the Renaissance physician who died in Salzburg in 1541. A real-life Salzburg counterpoint to the baroque-tourism program, and worth a look from outside even if you don't swim.
