Monument
A bronze Mozart bust on a stone pedestal on the Kapuzinerberg, about 120 metres past the Capuchin monastery on the ridge path. Edmund Helmer cast it in 1881; it marks the spot where the Magic Flute House, the hut linked to Mozart’s last opera, stood until 1950. Always free to visit. Combine with a Kapuzinerberg viewpoint loop for an hour of forest walking above the old town.

Both city mountains in one walk: the Mönchsberg from Mülln past its viewpoints to the fortress and Nonnberg, down through the old town and over the Mozartsteg, then up the Imbergstiege and round the Kapuzinerberg, the one that feels like a real mountain.
