The Story

St. Gilgen sits at the western tip of the Wolfgangsee, the village where Mozart’s mother was born and his sister Nannerl later lived. The Cortisen makes the most of this lakeside position: guests step from the hotel onto the shore of one of the most beautiful lakes in the Salzkammergut, with the full panorama of the opposite bank and the Schafberg summit filling the view.
